Lloyd's of London [4] is forecasting a net reinsurance loss ranging between 2.3 and 3 billion USD for hurricane Ian.
According to the modeled results, this amount represents 3 to 5% of the total cost of the loss, which would have no impact on Lloyd's solvency.
Hurricane Ian which severely hit Florida in September 2022 is considered as the most expensive disaster for the entire insurance market since the beginning of the year.
