Munich Re establishes a research and development center in Shanghai

Munich ReMunich Re has opened a new research and development center in Shanghai, China.

Named "Munich Re China Innovation R&D Centre", the new structure will allow the German group to further strengthen its knowledge and technological know-how.

The center will be working closely with local insurers and industry partners to help establish an ecosystem between technology and insurance in Shanghai. The primary focus will be on supporting the Chinese insurance and reinsurance market [4] 's long-term development.

The "Munich Re China Innovation R&D Centre" will be managed by SiTao, Munich Re's Chinese subsidiary specializing in insurance innovation.
