Allianz Africa has proceeded with a change in its Nigerian subsidiary's leadership.
Yomi Onifade has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Allianz Nigeria, effective 5 December 2022. He is replacing Adeolu Adewumi-Zer, who has moved on to pursue other opportunities outside the Allianz Group.
Y. Onifade has an extensive background of over 23 years in the financial services industry, particularly in the insurance and asset management sector. He has occupied senior positions in several local and international insurance companies in Nigeria. These include First Assurance, Standard Alliance Insurance, UNIC Insurance, AXA Mansard and Tangerine Africa.
The new CEO was also instrumental in the creation of one of the largest and most dynamic non-banking financial services groups in Nigeria (AXA Mansard).
