AM Best has confirmed Bahrain National Insurance Company's (BNI) "B++" (good) financial strength and "bbb+" long-term credit ratings. The outlook is stable.
According to the rating agency, the company's operating performance is strong, with a five-year (2017-2021) average combined ratio of 93% and a return on equity (ROE) of 14%.
With a turnover of 27 million BHD (72.1 million USD) in 2021, BNI stands as one of the largest insurance companies in Bahrain.
The rating also reflects the Bahraini insurer [4]'s strong balance sheet and its appropriate business risk management.
