The Société Commerciale Gabonaise de Réassurance listed on the stock exchange for the first time

SCG RéThe ceremony marking the listing of 250 000 shares issued by Société Commerciale Gabonaise de Réassurance (SCG-Ré [4]) on the Central African Stock Exchange (BVMAC) was held on 26 January 2023 in Douala, Cameroon.

During the inaugural listing, SCG-Ré's shares were sold at the offering price of 20 500 FCFA (33.95 USD) per share, which represents a 2.5% increase compared to the issue price of 20 000 FCFA (33.13 USD).

Following this new listing, the BVMAC now includes seven companies listed in the shares compartment with a global value of 651 billion FCFA (1.08 billion USD).

It is worth noting that the Gabonese reinsurer had launched a public offering in November 2022 which allowed it to raise 5 billion FCFA (8.28 million USD).
