Towards the privatization of 70% of CCR Re's capital

CCR ReThe French State is planning to privatize 70% of the capital of CCR Re, the market subsidiary of the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance (CCR).

A consortium led by the mutual insurance company SMABTP has won the auction process carried out by the bank Messier & Associés.

SMABTP has offered 940 million EUR (1.031 billion USD) for the acquisition of a stake in CCR Re's capital, thus exceeding the expected value of between 700 and 800 million EUR (767.732 and 877.408 million USD).

On top of this amount, the company's share capital has been increased by 200 million EUR (219.352 million USD).
