Brown & Brown acquires Kentro Capital

The US brokerage firm Brown & Brown has signed an agreement to acquire Kentro Capital Limited, formerly known as Nexus Underwriting Management Limited.

Subject to regulatory approval, the transaction is expected to be finalized during the fourth quarter of 2023.

The London-based insurance group, Kentro Capital, generates over 500 million GBP (617 million USD) in gross written premiums. Kentro has a team of 350 insurance professionals operating from offices across the UK, USA, Europe, Asia and Dubai.

The group's operating entities include Nexus, Xenia, Millstream, Capstone Brokers and Spectrum Risk Management.
