Jan 2008 Bahrain's central bank has given the green light to the German Allianz for the creation of a holding that will monitor the group's activities in the Middle East and the Indian sub continent regions.
Named Allianz MENA Holding Company, the new entity will be based in Bahrain.
At the start of 2007, Allianz has obtained license for the creation of Allianz Takaful. The company, initially specialized in Takaful products, will be extending its activities to property insurance.
