American Automobile Association (AAA), a non-profit organization specializing in, among other things, the insurance sector, has decided to stop renewing motor and home insurance policies for certain customers in Florida.
The decision was prompted by the State's high exposure to natural disasters [4], namely hurricanes.
With this move, AAA joins other US insurers, including Farmers Group and AIG, which have suspended or completely stopped underwriting policies in regions most vulnerable to climate change.
