On 20 April 2024, Libyan insurance industry professionals took part in a meeting chaired by Mohamed Al-Hweij, Minister of Economy and Trade and Chairman of the Insurance Supervisory Authority.
During the meeting, participants addressed a number of issues facing the market.
The proposed solutions included the establishment of laws and regulations governing the insurance business, and the drafting of a governance guide to be submitted to the supervisory authority's board of directors for approval.
