Feb 2013 The National Insurance Corporation of Eritrea (NICE) has launched a program for the sale of shares to the Eritrean citizens. The company has announced the availability of share purchase forms at its head office and online. The share value was set at 7 USD.
As of January 1, each Eritrean citizen is entitled to buy up to 50 000 shares whereas institutions and associations may purchase up to 500 000 shares per entity. Transactions must be made in American dollars with the two mandated banks.
