Oct 2012 Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), an Emirati sovereign fund, invested 160 million USD in China Pacific Insurance Group (CPIC). The fund’s participation in the Chinese insurer’s capital amounts to 2.75%. The capital, hence, raised to 1.3 billion USD is likely to strengthen CPIC’s financial basis and contribute also to premiums growth. Listed in Hong Kong, CPIC is China’s third insurer in terms of premium volume.
