Reasonable growth of the 2011 turnover

The collected gross premiums by all Jordanian insurers have risen by 6% in 2011. The Insurance Commission (I.C.) has revealed that the volume of premiums has attained 612.6 million USD. Life insurance which grew by 7% at 57.6 million USD, accounts for just 9.4% of the entire market. Non-life insurance has reported 90.6% of the activity with 555 million USD. Indemnities disbursed for insurers have increased by 17% at 466.1 million USD.
