Mar 2007 During the year 2006, insurance companies have disbursed the sum of 28 billion DZD (390 million USD) for the compensations of claims including all classes of business, 15 billion DZD (209 million USD) of which for motor insurance.
It is estimated that the number of cases for motor claims undergoing settlement is over 360 000 while the amount of motor claims awaiting settlement is estimated at 55 billion DZD (767 million USD).
