Net profits on the rise by an 8% for Zurich Financial Services in 2011

Zurich Financial Services reported a turnover of 47.748 billion USD in 2011. Despite the natural catastrophes which tarnished the year, the net profit amounts to 3.7 billion USD, an 8% rise. Operating profit fell by 12.5% at 4.26 billion USD. Non-life insurance premiums have gone up by 4.5% at 34.5 billion USD thanks to the progression in Latin America (+21%) and Asia (+5%). ZFS will soon change its name into Zurich Insurance.
