Feb 2007 Arab Orient Insurance Company has reported a net profit of 95 million AED (25.8 million USD) in 2006 against 73 million AED (19.8 million USD) in 2005, that is, a 30% increase.
The gross premium volume has grown from 391 million AED (106 million USD) in 2005 to 558 million AED (151.9 million USD) in 2006, that is an increase of 43%. The board of directors has proposed a rise in the company's capital from 150 to 200 million AED (40 to 54 million USD).
