Position: Account Associate

Location: Kigali, Rwanda

The Role :

Responsible for development of sales strategy and achievement of sales targets with Rwanda Clients targeting agribusiness customers, Banks, Mfis, Farmers cooperatives and the establishment of contain, networks and new business within all business streams., the successful candidate will specifically;

  • Support the country manager in:Development and lmplimentation of the ACRE’s overall strategy in Rwa Development and lmplimentation of a range of agricultural micro insurance products.
  • Manage and solve conflicts with ct rents
  • Establish & maintain budgets and pro-actively flag any potential for over-/ underspending in a timely manner
  • Set and achieve sales targets (retention and new business) per client and for the overall business stream
  • Meet time deadlines for accounts
  • Research and identify necessary product changes and new product ideas
  • Identify key stakeholders and new accounts and build relevant networks and contacts
  • Serve as Market intelligence by keeping abreast of changes in farmers’ needs, country plans and market conditions & trends
  • Responsible for install, monitor and maintain AWS in Rwanda and generate data for analysis
  • Responsible management of company’s assets

The Person :

The preferred candidate should have:

Critical experience and knowledge 

  • 2 years + experience in sales and for account management relating to agribusiness,insurance or agro-industries
  • At least AO level in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Project Management or a related
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies
  • Knowledge of the Rwandan agricultural sector is needed
  • Fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda
  • Adequate IT proficiency

  • Excellent organization, planning and management abilities
  • Strong budgeting and financial skills (Ability to meet targets and manage expenditure)
  • Effective problem solving and mediation
  • Good analytical decision making skills based on critical thinking
  • Strong skills in planning and time management
  • Has to be a self starter, self motivated and able to perform well without immediate supervision
