2007’s market results

In its 2007 annual report, the Fédération Tunisienne des Sociétés d'Assurance (FTUSA) has displayed the balance sheet of the 17 companies operating on the market.
Direct insurance premiums have risen from 795. 765 million TND (620. 609 million USD) in 2006 to 872. 121 million TND (721. 950 million USD) in 2007, that is, a 9.6% increase.
The 2007 technical result is in plain progression in comparison with that of 2006. It has gone up from 29.811 million TND (23.249 million USD) in 2006 to 78.860 million TND (65.281 million USD) in 2007.
With a premium total of 212 268 166 TND (175 717 710 USD), STAR remains the market's number one, followed by COMAR which is reporting a turnover of 106 457 095 TND (88 126 247 USD). Maghrebia comes third with a premium volume of 79 810 173 TND (66 067 659 USD).
