AIG withdraws from the Ugandan market

AIG (American International Group) began the cessation process of its insurance operations in Uganda, a market deemed unprofitable.

This operation is part of its exit strategy which is targeting small sized markets with low-potential.

The US insurer will no longer underwrite new insurance policies in the region. However, it will cover its insured until the expiry of their contracts.
