Côte d'Ivoire joined the African Trade Insurance Agency

Côte d'Ivoire has just finalized the procedure for accession to the Agency for Trade Insurance in Africa (ATI), an institution specializing in the coverage of political and commercial risks on the continent.

Membership fees were financed by a loan of 8.17 billion FCFA (13.8 million USD) granted by the African Development Fund.
This entry should allow Côte d'Ivoire to benefit from better access to intra-African or foreign investment.

Founded in 2001, ATI the headquarter of which is in Nairobi (Kenya) has nearly 10 member states. Zimbabwe and Ethiopia are expected to join the agency by the end of September 2016.
