Fairfax Financial Holding will invest in Africa

The Canadian Fairfax Financial Holding, operational in the insurance and reinsurance business through a number of companies is intent on investing in Africa.
Investing in Africa

An application for capital opening has been lodged at the department regulating the financial markets. The funds harvested are estimated at 1 billion USD, part of which will be used to finance expansion over the African continent thanks to some majority shareholdings in companies of various business areas.

Fairfax Africa, a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holding, is already operational in Africa in the areas of industry, hospitality and infrastructure.
