Graduation ceremony at the West African Insurance Institute

In mid-December 2015, nearly 200 students attended the graduation ceremony of 35 th and 36 th classes, an event held at the West African Insurance Institute (WAII). Due to the travel ban imposed on Sierra Leone last year, two classes have been rewarded at the same date.

A year ago, the country was in the midst of an Ebola crisis that it tried to manage. The students received diplomas for the studies conducted in insurance, marketing and law. Apart from Sierra Leone graduates, WAII attracts students from Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia and Gambia. Attending officials seized the opportunity to underscore the positive effect of this national diversity on the future relations among the market professionals.
