Leapfrog is targeting South Africa

South Africa stands among the three African countries selected by Leapfrog , the first investment fund in microinsurance, in order to invest 200 million ZAR (27 million USD). With 825 million ZAR (112 million USD) at hand, the group is ready to invest in projects in Asia and Africa. Leapfrog estimates that microinsurance in South Africa provides services to 8.2 million people. Moreover, the distribution in the country relies on a sound infrastructure. The private sector is dynamic and innovative and the demand for microinsurance is strong.
