Liberty adopts a new strategy in Tanzania

The group Liberty Kenya Holdings has adopted a new development plan for the Tanzanian market, where it is present through its subsidiary Heritage Insurance Company.
The latter is one of the largest insurance companies in the non life business. Having sold its 45% share in the insurer Alliance in December 2012, Kenya Liberty Holdings entered talks with investors to acquire all the stakes of Strategis.

This company is specialized in the distribution of group medical covers. In 2012, Liberty already increased its stake in Strategis by 39.18 % at 43% by investing an additional 10 million KES (116 800 USD) in it.
