Walt Disney Studios recover 50 million USD following the death of Carrie Fisher

Following the death on 27 December 2016 of the actress Carrie Fisher, Lloyd's is expected to pay 50 million USD to Walt Disney. This amount is a record compensation in the film history.

The production company had taken out an insurance policy with the London insurer covering any form of accident preventing the filming of episode IX of the movie Star Wars.
