The Saudi Health Insurance Council (CHI) has imposed penalties totaling 25 million SAR (6.66 million USD) on 110 employers for failing to comply with mandatory health insurance regulations.
According to Saudi law, companies are required to provide health insurance coverage for their employees and their dependents. The penalized employers had previously been formally notified to meet this obligation but failed to take corrective action.
