Driss Chafik has been appointed Managing Director of Wafa Assurance Sénégal. He succeeds Ibra Kane, who retired on 19 February 2025.
The appointment took effect on 10 March 2025.
D. Chafik holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Financial Sciences and Techniques from IAE France (Graduate Schools of Management) and an Executive MBA from MBS School of Business (France).
He boasts nearly 20 years' experience in the insurance and assistance sector, where he has worked with several companies including MAMDA-MACMA in Morocco, Sanlam in Senegal and Togo, Africa First Assist in Morocco and DZ Assistance in Algeria.
