Ecobank launches into bancassurance

After six months of negotiations, Ecobank Ghana signed a deal with Old Mutual Assurance. The local subsidiary of the South African group will have 78 branches of Ecobank to market its products in Ghana.

This partnership enables the bank to expand the range of services offered to its customers and to make its entry into the bancassurance industry.
Old Mutual, which has been present in Ghana for only 6 months, will be distributing four new life insurance products through Ecobank.
