The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) is preparing a draft insurance law that will focus on establishing a regulatory framework governing the insurer-policyholder contractual relationship.
In its capacity as the industry's regulatory authority, the CBJ is committed to creating a stable legislative environment to ensure better regulation of the insurance business, as Adel Sharkas, Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, put it.
This "better legal environment" statement was made during the opening of a seminar held on 30 June and 1 July 2024 in Amman on the theme of "The Arab insurance industry: challenges and new solutions".
