Lloyd's has revised upwards its forecasts of the losses due to hurricanes

Lloyd's has revised up its estimations of the Katrina hurricane's net losses, from GBP 1.4 Billion to GBP 1.9 billion (USD 2.4 billion to 3.3 billion). Rita and Wilma hurricanes' losses recorded GBP 535 million (USD 929 million) and respectively GBP 483 million (USD 838 million). The forecasts estimate that the 2006 hurricane season will be of the same scale as the year 2005.
