Pilgrimage 2021: Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory for Hajj

For the 2021 pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj of the year 1142), pilgrims must be vaccinated against Covid-19. Saudi Arabia has imposed vaccination against 2019-nCoV in order to avoid a new wave of the pandemic in the kingdom.
In 2020, only 1 000 to 10 000 people inside the kingdom were authorized to perform the pilgrimage.
