Reinsurers still under the threat of systemic hazards

The Financial Stability Board (FSB) have come to the conclusion during their last meeting held on January 10 that insurers and reinsurers are not immune from the threat of systemic risks, just like banks and other financial institutions. That is why the public oversight scheme applied to banks will be extended to the insurance business.
