Sarah Stanford, new CEO of Sompo UK

Sarah Stanford has been appointed CEO of Sompo UK, succeeding Bob Thaker, who is leaving the company.

This appointment follows the completion of the Japanese group’s acquisition of Aspen Insurance Holdings, a Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance company.

Ms. Stanford, who has served as CEO of Aspen UK since March 2024, will now lead Sompo’s non-life insurance (P&C) operations in the United Kingdom.

Based in London, she will report to Alessa Quane, CEO of International Markets.
