Everest Group: H1 2023 results
The Everest Group has recorded a 19.4% turnover increase for the first half of the year 2023. This figure went up from 6.633 billion USD as at 30 June 2022 to 7.923 billion USD one year later.
During the first six months of 2023, the reinsurance division posted written premiums amounting to 5.403 billion USD, representing a 23.2% growth compared to the 4.387 billion USD achieved during the same period in 2022.
The insurance business saw a 12.2% progression, reaching 2.52 billion USD by the end of June 2023.
The combined ratio improved by 2.3 points to 89.4%.
The Group's half-year net profit has climbed by a sharp 146.4% to stand at 1.035 billion USD, against 420 million USD in the first half of 2022.
On 10 July 2023, the Everest Re Group has changed its name to Everest Group. This was accompanied by a new company logo and website: https://www.everestglobal.com/mena-en.
