Natural catastrophes and climate risks among the priorities of the Insurance Federation of Egypt
The Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE) announced, in its weekly bulletin published on 24 March 2024, the implementation of several measures to combat natural hazards and climate change.
The measures cited by the IFE include:
- Preparing a guide to sustainable insurance.
- Encouraging the adoption of sustainable insurance principles in all classes of business, and their integration into the insurance value chain.
- The drafting of reports by players in the Egyptian insurance market.
The 6th edition of the Sharm El Sheikh Rendez-Vous, scheduled to take place from 9 to 11 November 2024 in Egypt, will be an opportunity to further discuss sustainable insurance and climate risks.
