Kevin Kiambi Mworia, new Managing Director of Continental Re Kenya

Kevin Kiambi Mworia, 51, has been appointed Managing Director of Continental Re Kenya, a subsidiary of the Nigerian Continental Re Group. He will be taking over from Souvik Banerjea, who is retiring after leading the company for five years.

K. Mworia has 18 years of professional experience in strategy, finance, human capital, culture transformation and strategic alliances.

Prior to his recent appointment, K. Mworia had served as Managing Director of Sanlam Vie and Group CFO of Sanlam Kenya since June 2021.

For the record, Continental Re Kenya started operating in Nairobi in 2008 as a branch before becoming a subsidiary licensed by the Kenyan Insurance Regulatory Authority in 2013. In 2022, the reinsurer recorded a turnover of 93 million USD and a net result of 4.5 million USD.
