Opening of the 47th FANAF General Assembly
The Federation of African National Insurance Companies (FANAF) is holding its 47th annual general assembly on 20 February 2023 in Kinshasa (DRC).
Nearly 1 000 participants, speakers and sponsors are taking part in the event revolving around the theme: "African insurance: how to maximize its potential for shared prosperity".
Other sub-themes that will be addressed by four panels during the five-day meeting include:
- Panel 1: The factors blocking microinsurance: what prospects for its development?
- Panel 2: Compulsory insurance in FANAF countries
- Panel 3: How to integrate the agricultural world into insurance?
- Panel 4: How can reinsurance contribute to the development of the insurance industry?
Chaired by César Ekomie Afene, FANAF brings together 203 insurance and reinsurance companies and motor guarantee funds.
