Taiwan earthquake: loss estimate

séisme de TaïwanThe Corelogic research center has indicated that the insured losses caused by the earthquake in Taiwan are likely to range between 5 and 8 billion USD.

These estimates only include damage to residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural properties. They do not include damage to government buildings and transport infrastructure (bridges and roads).

The magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck the eastern part of the island on 3 April 2024, claiming more than ten lives and causing extensive material damage.
