The French Insurance federation (FFA) has officially started its activities. This body grouping the French federation of insurance companies (FFSA) and the association of mutual insurance companies (Gema) was approved by the French insurance association (AFA) in early December 2015. The new structure will be chaired by Bernard Spitz, former president of the FFSA and will speak for 280 insurance and reinsurance companies operating in France. Among the projects to be defended by the FFA are the improvement of the natural disaster scheme in France, facilitating trade between insurer and insured, and defending the interests of the European insurance after the UK exit from the Union [4].
