1st January 2015 renewal: decrease in reinsurance tariffs

According to a study conducted by Willis Re, the 1st january 2015 renewal of reinsurance treaties was marked by decreased rates in several regions and in most classes of business.

This reduction is due to the abundance of reinsurance offer. The traditional market players who have to face increasing competition from alternative reinsurance and want to improve their production output in 2015 might be tempted by a strategy of meger, acquisition and diversification.
