70 billion USD of premiums for Bermuda's insurers in 2013

The member companies of the Association of Bermuda Insurers and reinsurers (ABIR) have collected a total of 70.05 billion USD in 2013 (+5.5% compared to 2012). This figure takes into account the results of 18 out of 21 members of the ABIR.

The association has also underlined the improvement of its combined ratio to 85.0% (-6.5 points compared to 2012).

The top 10 of the ABIR (by gross written premiums) is dominated by ACE with 22.8 billion USD of premiums in 2013.
