A bill for the protection of consumers

A law for the protection of consumers will require South African insurers to provide insurance policies drafted in simple and clear language as of 2011. Contract drafting shall be done in a language that is easily understandable to the ordinary users with average skills and minimal experience as insurance consumer. Insurers and brokers are concerned about the costs required for the adaptation of the policies.
