A motor database to fight insurance fraud

The Nigerian Insurance Association (NIA) has announced it is planning to set up a motor data base. Designed to fight insurance fraud, this tool should equally be used for the promotion of motor risk management in the country. Strengthened by 97 members out of the 103 existent operators, NIA, which controls 99% of the market's premiums, is closely associated to the works of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) in the task of recapitalising insurance companies.
