A new health insurer enters the market

A presidential decree authorized the establishment of a new health insurer. Called Cham Company for Health Insurance and dotted with a capital of 10.54 million USD, the company will be owned by Syrian General Insurance, Syrian Holding Investment and the General Organization for Social Insurance.
Another decree requires the coverage of all retirees of the public and private sectors as well as military and civil workers by the new health insurance system.
