A new takaful insurance company

A number of Tunisian insurers have pooled up to establish takaful company. Among the shareholders of the new entity we find: Carte (18%) Astrée (18%) and Tunis Re (18%).
The general insurance committee has already granted approval of this move. Its official introduction on the market will be validated upon the signature of the minister of finance. Zitouna Assurance is, so far, the only takaful insurer in Tunisia.
