African insurers and pension funds have 610 billion USD to invest

According to the report "Africa Bright" conducted by the analytics and investment consutling firm RisCura, insurance companies and African pension funds have respectively 270 and 340 billion USD to invest.

Assets under management of African pension funds are concentrated up to 90% in South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria and Botswana. With a total value of 610 billion USD, the capital available shows that intra-African investment has its weight.

The importance of this windfall should continue to increase with the development of financial markets on the continent.
