Agricultural insurance extended to cover livestock and fishermen
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, agricultural insurance that is currently covering Omani farmers against floods, hail, fires, landslides and cyclones will soon be extended to cover livestock.
Another novelty, insurance dedicated to fishermen will soon be available on the market.
To date, agricultural insurance policies are marketed by four local insurers namely: National Life and General Insurance, Dhofar Insurance, Al Madina Takaful and Arabia Falcon Insurance Company.
