Agricultural insurance scheme under development

Insurance coverage for agricultural equipment will be set up by the end of 2015 in Taiwan.
According to the president of the Council Of Agriculture (COA), the proposed guarantee will include two covers: one relating to agricultural products and the second for the damage to agricultural equipment.

The new insurance plan will follow a current scheme covering fishing boats with the government's participation of 124.22 USD in the premiums paid by policyholders and a compensation with a maximum limit of 150 000 USD.
