Air India insures its fleet for 22.5 million USD

Air India has insured its entire fleet (126 aircraft estimated at a total of 9.5 billion USD) for a premium of 22.5 million USD, down compared to the 24 million USD claimed in 2014.

This rate revision comes at a time when the airline industry is experiencing a mild season regarding disasters. Coverage is provided, for the consecutive fourth year, by New India Assurance.
