AKI has called upon Kenyan Finance Minister to amend a law

The Association of Kenya Insurers (AKI) has called upon the minister of finance to amend the law that provides for the compulsory indemnification of third party liability claims victims within the ninety days following the report of loss.
The enforcement of such a provision is faced with many hardships including insurance default and fraud. Insurers wish the word victim to be replaced by insured.
In addition, the association has asked the minister of finance to institute a motor claim scaling.
